DIY Candleholders!

This is probably one of the easiest, least expensive DIY’s we’ve posted on the blog, and the end result is elegant and beautiful! The Hyper House bought a four pack of glasses from Target for $3, used a pack of rubber bands, and white matte spray paint.

Wrap your glasses (or whatever you choose to use) with the rubber bands -get creative! In a well ventilated area, begin to spray your glasses. Two coats will be sure that your glasses are fully coated and even. Allow to fully dry, take the rubber bands off and there you have it! Four beautiful unique candle holders!

I Saw the Sign

I found two super easy ways to make a great sign for your home! I love the customizability of creating your own. Choose the lyrics to an old song, or your favorite poem, and display it where you can always see it. They look fabulous and are so simple!

This first DIY adds another layer to creating your sign. You pick old newspaper, pages from a book or magazine and stick them to the canvas first. After you follow all the steps, you have that peek-a-boo texture popping out, instead of boring white. So clever, Southern Belle Soul, Mountain Bride Heart!

This DIY from Brassy Apple is similar to the first, in that all the steps are pretty much the same with the exception of what is peeking out from the letters. She uses fabric! I love this idea because you can hand pick a beautiful pattern that works perfectly with the room you’re hanging it in!

I also really like the idea of doing this with an old (even ugly) mirror. It would save you a step, and it would still look amazing! If you make these, let us know how they turned out!

Linen Closet Makeover

I’m a sucker for a good makeover. Really a makeover of any kind does it for me, but my favorites are in the home. Show me the before and after and I’m hooked! Usually, the linen closets in my house are the dark, black hole where we throw the miscellaneous sheets and towels, and only go there when we have to. I love this idea of brightening up that space and making it pretty to look at. Why not, right? Here are two of my favorite linen closet makeovers. I hope they inspire you!

This first one is from Fox Hollow Cottage. She didn’t spend a dime!

The second one is from Simplicity in the South. I absolutely LOVE the white with the pops of color. I think that’s the best way to decorate a smaller space!

A few years ago, a made a lamp similar to this one. It took a pretty long time, and I really liked the outcome, but I must say…I like this one so much better! I’m not sure why it didn’t occur to me to cut the felt into a shape – duh!

Paint a Chair!

A friend recently told me that she and her daughter were going to paint a couch. As funny as that may sound, it turned out beautifully, and I’ve been on the hunt for a tutorial to do the same! It’s such a great way to revamp an old piece of furniture without breaking the bank!

Upholstered Chair

All you need is some fabric paint! You can incorporate a fun pattern adding a little creativity and fun to your furniture. The easiest way to do that would be to find a pattern you like online, and print it out, creating your own stencil.

What a creative, and budget friendly way to add some ambiance to any indoor or outdoor space! I think this looks like a million bucks, but you can make it for under $10! For some reason, I can really see this in a little girls room – maybe hang some mosquito net from it and hang it over her bed. So cute!

The materials are minimal and it’s pretty simple to make. All you need are some twinkle lights, ribbon, and a hula hoop! For a little more detail you can head over to Home Design Pins.
