This is such a great idea, and so simple to do! It’s extremely similar to the DIY Headband post we did yesterday, but on a larger scale (obviously!). Take two piece of fabric – I really like the contrasting colors in the picture! I think a spandex or a fabric with some stretch to it would work the best. Twist the fabrics together and sew them in the back, and voila! You have your very own bandeau top, perfect for sunbathing or wearing under sheer shirt!

DIY Button Necklace!

I’m absolutely in love with this project! It incorporated so many things I love – big, chunky jewelry, vintage finds, and DIY!

The picture is pretty self explanatory. I think the only supply not listed that is needed is a piece of fabric to glue the buttons to (I think felt would work splendidly!).

Remember that whole turban fad? It was short lived, thank God! I always thought they looked so silly, but there were certain aspects that I liked. I think this DIY headband incorporates all the good things that the turban had to offer, but in headband form which is just more practical. I love this headband look with the hair up in a pony tail or with the hair down and the headband placed over the crown of the head!

I found this picture on Pinterest and couldn’t find the original source for more detailed instructions. You will definitely need some basic sewing skills to attach the two pieces of fabric (or if you’re lazy like me, a glue gun might work just fine too! Ha!)

We all have those super old t-shirts hanging in our closets. We choose not to get rid of them for one reason or another, a couple of those reasons most likely being nostalgia and we love how soft the worn fabric has become. Here is a brilliant tip on how to keep your old tees feeling soft!
